		<description>Hi susie,
Some of us get here more circuitously. Twitter search for rsscloud leads me to your blog. ;-)
Some of us may even be using some funny search engine, hence the post on hattitude above mine. That&#039;s another take away, more comment spams nowadays. :-/
regards,
sabre23t =^.^=</description>

		<description>Hi

&gt;I noticed the latest craze was paddle surfing ... Can you do that?

Mmmmm, haven&#039;t tried but it is also another arcane skillset requiring hours, if not years of practice.

&gt;Are you still working/blogging on beaches in Australia?

Brrrrr, it&#039;s the last days of winter, and I&#039;ve been avoiding the water generally &#039;coz the temperatures are 12C-16C (55F-60F).

But hardier souls than me (I?) still do the cold-water thing.

Quite unlike your time in the warming aguas of Hawaii, I imagine.

		<description>Hi Michael,
What a great surprise- thank you for finding me again and leaving a comment!
I&#039;m flattered that you remember my old blogging-on-the-beach posts! As a matter of fact, I did spend a few hours on the surfboard. Unfortunately, it had been soooo long that I was almost like a beginner again. With a helping hand I caught a few waves... and managed to stand up.
We did get boogie boards and caught a few baby waves... not like yours!
I noticed the latest craze was paddle surfing... and one guy caught waves with his paddle and then did headstands as he rode the waves in. Can you do that? :)
Are you still working/blogging on beaches in Australia?

		<description>Hi again,

I re-found you due to your comments at the SF Chronicle (sfgate.com) following the article looking at HP Labs makeover, maybe a week or two ago.

Welcome back, and BTW, did you catch any more waves, by mistake or otherwise, on your recent Hawaii vacation?

Best
