Uncle Gary- Your point 1 is exactly what was behind by my tip 1- many Asians have a seemingly infinite well of learnings that guide them- that is what makes me question whether a foreigner could ever learn them all. Your point 2 is a fundamental difference between cultures that creates roadblocks in so many relationships. Thank you for your comments.

Anna. As a manager, I can feel when an employee feels this way and works so hard with all his/her heart. This makes me work extra hard as a manager for my employee. It is this cycle that leads to great results and a great life-long relationship. Thank you!

I have worked in Asia many times and agree with your assessments. I would add some things that are essential. 1. The major differences in East and West are unseen. Philial Piety, for example, that always respects the eldest brother, the most senior, most revered. 2. You mentioned "save face" and that is so key. Asians tend to experience shame-loss o face, identity, respect, when a wrong is committed and we experience guilt, retribution, justice.

Thanks,

"Focus on building the relationship as much as achieving the goal. Bonus tip: If you achieve trust in your relationship, then you will succeed. " Very right, As a employee, I will very happy and be willing to do my best just because the boss trust me. Sometimes, trust is more important than the pay^_^.
